What Orthodontic Issues Can Invisible Braces Fix?
Invisible braces can effectively treat a wide range of dental alignment issues:
- Crowded Teeth: When there's insufficient space for teeth to fit normally, resulting in crooked or overlapping teeth
- Crossbite: When upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth, potentially causing tooth wear and gum problems
- Underbite: When lower teeth protrude past the upper front teeth
- Gaps Between Teeth: Spaces between teeth that can occur due to missing teeth or jaw development issues
- Overbite/Deep Bite: When upper front teeth excessively overlap the lower teeth
- Open Bite: When some teeth cannot make contact with opposing teeth
For a personalised assessment of whether invisible braces are suitable for your specific orthodontic needs, we recommend booking a consultation with one of our specialist dentists.
Invisible Braces FAQs
What are the aligners made of?
How long do I wear each set of aligners?
Typically, each set of aligners is worn for about two weeks, day and night, removing them only for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.
Will I need any teeth extracted?
Many patients can be treated without extractions. However, in cases of severe overcrowding, extractions may be necessary. This will be discussed during your consultation.
Is there any damage to teeth during treatment?
No permanent damage occurs to teeth. In some cases, minor Inter Proximal Reduction (IPR) may be needed, where tiny amounts of enamel are carefully reduced to create space for tooth movement.
